But it was a long road to get here. After surviving multiple eating disorders, trauma, and an abusive relationship, I know what it’s like to feel like you don’t belong in your own skin. Now I share my journey to help women find the courage to speak their truth and learn to love themselves at any size.

Today you’ll find me working to inspire body positivity and self acceptance, and raise awareness around eating disorders and mental health.

I had previously been good about working out but around the new year I started slacking to the point where I just wasn't working out at all anymore and I was burying my feelings about it with junk food and saying I'll get back to it eventually. I told myself I had to sop with the excuses and do something. One thing I did was go back to therapy because I needed someone I could talk to and not feel judged.

I told myself I had to stop with the excuses and do something. One thing I did was go back to therapy because I needed someone I could talk to and not feel judged. The second thing was that I joined HIIT30. A friend told me about Mik and the HIIT30 community and I loved the message I heard. It took a good month or two before I decided to join and I am so happy I did. I'm not gonna lie, I have not stuck with the workouts like I should. But the community is probably what keeps me going. I don't even have to post anything and suddenly I'll see that another girl is going through the exact same thing and everyone is rallying to help her. It's amazing what you (Mik) have built and given each of us. 

THE PAST FEW MONTHS MY DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY HAVE GOTTEN REALLY BAD AND I'VE STARTED TO HATE THE PERSON I SEE WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR. 

It got to the point where I had to make a change or I wasn't sure I how much longer until I just completely fell apart.

Mik and her community have empowered me to CELEBRATE the body I’ve been given and love what society labels as my “flaws”. I now have made it my mission to spread the message to #normalizenormalbodies and stand by all Mik represents! 

Finding Mik almost felt like finding my true self.

 I (unknowingly at the time) grew up immersed in the “diet culture” which has translated into my own adult insecurities.
