I’ll be the first to admit that shopping for clothes can be overwhelming! With trends changing so frequently, seasonal changes, and sizes varying store-to-store, it’s hard to find pieces that work for any longer than six months. 

I’ve compiled a list of my favorite pieces inside of my current wardrobe to give you an idea of evergreen pieces that work for any season. These pieces can be worn together or separately, depending on your style preferences. 

Jeans 

Joni Jeans 

Topshop’s jeans are one of my favorite, go-to wardrobe-essentials. We all know how hard it is to find jeans that fit right, so once you find a brand that works for your style, budget, and size, you are loyal. If you’ve never tried jeans from Topshop before, I recommend starting with a pair of Joni jeans. They are my favorite style and the most comfortable!

AE Stretch Curvy Mom Jeans 

American Eagle is another favorite brand of mine. Not only do they promote inclusivity, but their products are of high quality and long-lasting. These mom jeans give you the most effortless, put-together look. They are stretchy, high waisted (can I get an amen?), and hit right at the ankle. 

Before buying any jeans from American Eagle, I recommend looking at the size chart. For reference, I wear a size four which is about one size down for me.

Tops

Urban Renewal Recycled Overdyed Boyfriend Flannel Shirt  

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know this flannel shirt from Urban Outfitters is one of my wardrobe staples. It’s an oversized flannel button-front shirt with long cuffed sleeves. Each shirt is unique because it’s made of recycled materials so no two are exactly alike! Every shirt varies in pattern, construction, and color tones. This is the perfect item to wear with a crop top. I typically style this with denim jeans or shorts, but it goes perfectly with leggings if you’re feeling cozy. You can also pair it with a dress or skirt and belt it at the waist for a more elevated look!

Raglan Crop T-Shirt 

A good, plain white crop is always a must. You can wear a plain white crop on its own or layer it under something like the Urban flannel or an edgy leather jacket. If you’re looking for a summery combination, you can pair this with a spaghetti strap dress. If you prefer pants, this also looks great with jeans or even joggers depending on your mood! 

This crop from Topshop is one of my favorites because it comes in tons of colors and isn’t too short. A solid-colored top is so versatile and can fit into any style. I prefer neutral colors like white and gray to build my capsule wardrobe, but this also comes in brighter colors like yellow, lilac, and apricot. 

Crop Tank Top 

This crop tank is another solid colored everyday essential that looks good with literally anything! This tank is wide ribbed, racerback, and made of cotton, making it effortlessly cool and comfy. It’s available at Nordstrom in black, sand, and white. This is the perfect way to build a versatile capsule wardrobe.

White Cotton Courier Shirt 

This white button-down from Madewell is my go-to for business casual meetings, brunch with my girls, or dinner with my family. It’s a little more pricey than some of the other items, but it’s made of thicker, durable cotton (aka your bra won’t show through the material as much). This item also comes in sizes up to 3X!

This top is a little boxy because it’s made to fit oversized so I like to tuck the front into a pair of jeans and pair it with a fun belt to give it some shape.You can also tie it over a maxi dress for a more formal look.

Boyfriend Voop Oversized T-shirt

I am the QUEEN of oversized shirts if you haven’t been able to tell! This shirt from Aerie is one of my favorites to wear around the house or even running errands on a busy Sunday. You might be wondering why they named it “voop”. Voop is Aerie and American Eagle’s newest neckline! It’s wider at the shoulders and scoops down low making it look perfectly effortless and lived-in. 

The structured collar and sleeves prevents the neckline from slipping down over your shoulders. However, I recommend sizing down if you’re between sizes, because the shirt is big and long. I like to pair this with leggings or knot it with a pair of sassy bike shorts. 

Undergarments

Spanx Under Statements Thong

Having a good pair of underwear is so underrated. There’s nothing worse than your underwear bunching or stretching while you’re working out. This thong from Spanx is hands down the best underwear I own. It’s no-show, breathable, and comfortable, so I can confidently wear it under leggings or shorts while I work out. It comes in plenty of sizes, patterns, and colors. 

SKIMS Sculpting Seamless Bodysuit 

I’m all about embracing your body and feeling comfortable in your own skin, but sometimes it helps to have a little help! I purchased this SKIMS Sculpting Seamless Bodysuit on a whim and was so surprised by its quality and comfort level. It accentuates your natural curves without completely changing your body shape. I wear this under clothes that I need to feel a little more supported in, whether that’s a tight dress, jeans, or shorts. It basically provides an extra layer between your skin and tight waistlines or uncomfortable zippers. This bodysuit is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. 

Pair of Thieves No Show Socks

Losing socks in the dryer and having socks that fall down are two of my biggest pet peeves! I’m still working on finding a solution to losing all my socks, but I have found a solution to my second sock problem. 

These no-show socks from Pair of Thieves have been the only socks that have worked for me! They are comfortable, cushioned, supportive, and don’t fall down with time. The top of the sock extends up your foot, which prevents the top of your show from irritating your skin – this protection is a must if you’re working out.
